A Tuolumne County native, Kendra is proud to be raising the 6th generation of cowboys on her family ranch. A Fresno State graduate and active member of the agricultural community, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the stables, ensuring a top-notch experience for both riders and horses.
Dennis Dowell
Barn Lead
Dennis enjoys cars, cooking, and spending time with friends. He’s working toward a future as a firefighter or electrician but has found his time here to be a valuable experience. Working with the horses has taught him teamwork, communication skills, and livestock care. Dennis encourages everyone to visit—he’s sure you’ll enjoy it as much as he does!
Kaylee Melton
Lead Wrangler
Originally from Clovis, CA, Kaylee moved to Sonora after graduating from Fresno State in 2022. She has been part of the stables team for 3.5 years, bringing experience and passion to her role as Lead Wrangler. A former competitive swimmer for Clovis Swim Club and a proud member of the Clovis FFA chapter, Kaylee loves sharing her knowledge of horses while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all riders.
Jim Elstad
Stable Hand & Instructor
With over 40 years in the agriculture industry, Jim brings a wealth of experience and a deep love for horses. Believing that "the outside of a horse is good for the inside of a human," he is passionate about creating safe, fun, and memorable trail-riding experiences for all.
Chalyse Behm
Stable Hand
After living and building a business on the Central Coast for nearly ten years, Chalyse returned to her hometown of Jamestown in 2021 with her husband, dog, cat, goats, and donkeys. As an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast, she loves everything the area has to offer. In May 2025, after a 17 year hiatus, she rediscovered her passion for horses through volunteer work and hasn’t looked back. She is thrilled to be part of the PML team and excited to continue to learn about and care for horses.
